1. About CVApplied
CVApplied ("we", "us", "our") is an AI-powered CV analysis and building platform. Our services include CV analysis, CV building, job tailoring, and role-based CV templates. The service is operated from the United Kingdom and is primarily designed for UK job seekers.
2. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using CVApplied at www.cvapplied.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and our Privacy Policy. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and CVApplied.
3. Description of Service
CVApplied provides:
- Free tier: Up to 3 CV analyses per device, template browsing, CV builder (copy only)
- Pro tier (£9/month or £89/year): Unlimited analyses, all templates with copy access, job tailoring, PDF and DOCX export, CV builder with AI enhancement
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any feature of the service at any time with reasonable notice.
4. Pro Subscriptions and Payment
Pro access is provided via a unique access code delivered to your email following successful payment. By purchasing a Pro subscription, you agree to Stripe's terms of service in addition to these terms.
- Subscriptions are billed monthly (£9) or annually (£89)
- Payments are non-refundable except where required by UK consumer law
- You may cancel your subscription at any time via your Stripe customer portal
- Access codes are for personal use only and must not be shared
- We reserve the right to revoke access if a code is found to be shared or misused
5. Your Content
You retain full ownership of your CV content. By submitting your CV for analysis, you grant CVApplied a temporary, limited licence to process your content solely for the purpose of generating your report. We do not store, share, or use your CV content for any other purpose. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the service to submit content that is fraudulent, defamatory, or illegal
- Attempt to reverse engineer, scrape, or misuse our AI systems
- Share, resell, or redistribute access codes or Pro features
- Use automated tools to make excessive requests to our service
- Attempt to bypass usage limits through technical means
- Use the service for any purpose other than personal career development
7. AI-Generated Content Disclaimer
CVApplied uses AI to generate CV feedback, rewrite suggestions, and tailored content. AI-generated content is for guidance only and does not constitute professional careers advice. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying any AI-generated suggestions before using them in job applications. CVApplied makes no guarantee that using our service will result in interviews or job offers.
8. Intellectual Property
The CVApplied brand, website design, CV templates, and all original content are owned by CVApplied and protected by UK copyright law. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works from our content without prior written consent.
CV templates are provided as starting-point documents for personal use in job applications. You may adapt and use them for your own CV — you may not sell or redistribute them.
9. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by UK law, CVApplied shall not be liable for:
- Any indirect, incidental, or consequential loss arising from use of the service
- Loss of employment opportunity or outcome of any job application
- Inaccuracies in AI-generated content or analysis
- Temporary unavailability of the service
Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for Pro access in the 12 months preceding any claim.
10. Consumer Rights
Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights as a UK consumer. Under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, digital services must be provided with reasonable care and skill. If you are unhappy with the service, please contact us at info@cvapplied.com.
11. Changes to These Terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify Pro subscribers by email of material changes. Continued use of the service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.
12. Governing Law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
